Ms. Ilse Prokop, the Austrian Minister of the Interior spoke about women in concentration camp Mauthausen/Gusen.

COMMEMORATION OVERVIEW

Ms. Maria Schatz presented the story of Esther Zychlinski, who fled as a young jewish girl form the women´s camp at Mauthausen-Wienergraben and who was hidden by the Schatz family at Frankenberg during the war. Participants from different nations in front of the Gusen Memorial. Mr. Giorgio Oldrini, Mayor of Sesto San Giovanni (Italy) giving his commemorational address.

  • Commemorational address by Dusan Stefancic

  • Speech by Ms. Maria Schatz on Esther Zychlinski who was hidden by the Schatz Family during the war.

  • Commemorational address by Ms. Liese Prokop, Austrian Federal Minister of the Interior

  • Lay down of wreath at the Gusen Memorial

Participants listen carefully to the commemorational adresses. The youth choir of the St. Georgen Parish. Dusan Stefancic, Gusen II Survivor from Slovenia, giving his commemorational address.
