Commemoration 2021

The 2021 commemoration will be dedicated to the 76th anniversary of the liberation of the former Gusen I, II & III complex of concentration camps and to the motto “Destroyed Diversity” and will focus on the many different groups of inmates that were murdered by the ten thousands at the former camp complex.

Due to the continuing worldwide COVID-19 pandemic this international commemoration can´t take place at Memorial Crematroium KZ Gusen as a public event. It will be held as an online-commemoration that will be streamed live on Youtube on May 15, 2021 at 05:00 p.m.  CEST. The URL is: https://YouTu.be/Vtjo73NJu1k

Different national groups will contribute to that 2nd online commemoration that is a joint cooperation between survivors, their organizations and families and people of the local Austrian population.
